Where you are on a regular basis is the place of mission. In a mobile society, this can mean that mission takes place in multiple contexts. We are trying to learn what it means to discover our neighborhoods, jobs, schools, and other places where we are as the place in which God is calling us to live redemptively.

We really don't have many programs going on, and that is because we don't need more activity. We need time to get to know our neighbors and to love them. Church programs can be very helpful, but they can also pull us away from the very places God may be sending us.

That said, we do see the need to serve together. In shared ministry to others, we help each other learn how to serve as Jesus taught us. We also discover it becomes a way for us to bear witness together to the good news of the reign of God—through actions, and, where necessary, words.

Serving with Degage Ministries
We serve together at Degage Ministries at Cherry and Division in Grand Rapids. We meet at Degage at 7:00pm on the second Wednesday of every month.

Emergent West Michigan
This meeting is open to anyone who is interested in understanding the changing cultural landscape and how the gospel comes to bear on our world through the church. Check the Emergent West Michigan website for details on meeting times.
